Supporting Mountain Lifestyles
For 15 years we’ve been “THE” kitchen store in Revelstoke. Started by Deannie Ottenbreit back in 2003 (maybe you remember us as Chantilly Kitchen Bed and Bath) we’ve created a niche for ourselves as the go to store for hard to find kitchen items and those amazing flannel sheets that keep you warm on even our snowiest nights. We’re not about selling you the highest price item. Heck, sometimes we don’t even want to sell you anything at all. We want you to rediscover your love for all things food, share that love on a plate or platter that works for you and when that’s all done we want you to crawl into bed with sheets you can dream on.

Choice vs Curation
We believe having the right tool for the job is key.
After all, you wouldn’t drive a lawnmower down the Trans Canada Highway, would you?
There are so many amazing gadgets and tools to choose from today, but that choice can be overwhelming. How much is too much?
That’s where we come in.
Whether it’s a set of knives or new pillows for your bed, it’s our job to do the research. Don’t be shy, come in to the shop can trust, and let us help you find the right tool for the job. We’ll give you a choice of colour and style, but we’ll do the hard work of finding responsible companies.

Taking care of our community
When you take care of your community, your community takes care of you. That’s our credo here at Big Mountain Kitchen. We believe people, the environment, community and sustainability come before profit.
We provide warranty support right in our store so you don’t have to go through the headache of calling a 1-800 number only to be put on hold or try to navigate through an automated messaging system.
Is your product past its warranty? Don’t fret, we carry lots of parts to keep your housewares functioning at top-notch long after your warranty has ended.
We can help
Here at Big Mountain Kitchen we’re about so much more than just making a sale. We want our customers to feel comfortable coming to us to ask for help and suggestions; it’s our job! We are happy to work with you to find the perfect tool, explain why we sell the products we do and how they can help in your kitchen.
Sometimes we may suggest trying a product before you buy it, especially if it’s an investment. We partner with the Revelstoke Local Food Initiative and may suggest you rent or borrow items from them before you commit to purchasing. Some of the items available to borrow are: food dehydrators, juicers, canners and pressure cookers.
Big Mountain Kitchen’s owner Nicole Cherlet has a background in restaurants and resorts and a huge passion for helping people discover, or re-discover, their love for food and cooking. She and the rest of the team are more than happy to help you make a decision on the best tool for the job (even if that tool already lives in your kitchen drawer).Meet the team
